Following Limited Run, Ruthless! Will Return to NYC Stage | Playbill

News Following Limited Run, Ruthless! Will Return to NYC Stage Following an acclaimed run in September, the award-winning musical Ruthless! will return to Stage 72 at The Triad beginning Oct. 23 for an open-ended run.

The musical was penned by Joel Paley (book and lyrics) and Marvin Laird (music), longtime conductor for Bernadette Peters. Paley also directs. For this production, composer Laird is putting down his baton and putting on pantyhose to take on the role of the infamous Sylvia St. Croix. Laird, who will also be featured on the baby grand, will be joined onstage by Kim Maresca, Tori Murray, Katie Sparer, Delaney Arizala and Rita McKenzie as Lita Encore.

The musical, which was inspired by "The Bad Seed," concerns the onstage and offstage antics of the diabolically talented Tina Denmark. The Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning production opened in 1992 and showcased the early talents of soon-to-be stars Britney Spears, Natalie Portman and Laura Bell Bundy.

Tickets range from $25-$43 plus a two-drink minimum. Click here to purchase tickets and view show times. For more information visit www.ruthlessthemusical.com.
