News For the Record: Scorsese Will Feature Anderson Davis, Max Ehrich, Doug Kreeger, Ginifer King and More For the Record, the "one-of-a-kind Hollywood" musical revue conceived by Christopher Lloyd Bratten and Shane Scheel, continues with a showcase of songs from the movies of Martin Scorsese, which will officially open Oct. 19 at Los Angeles' Rockwell: Table & Stage.

For the Record: Scorsese plays a limited engagement through Dec. 1. Previews began Oct. 5.

The show, according to press notes, explores "the themes Scorsese typically underlines in his work such as Italian American identity, Roman Catholic concepts of guilt and redemption, machismo and modern crime, using signature songs and iconic scenes from the movies of the acclaimed director. This live, music concert will feature Scorsese's 'GoodFellas,' 'The Departed,' 'Gangs Of New York,' 'The Aviator,' 'Casino' and many more."

Audiences can expect to hear "Gimme Shelter," "Layla, Rags To Riches," "House of the Rising Sun," "Leader Of The Pack," "Sunshine of Your Love," "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You," "I'll Take You There" and more.

For the Record: Scorsese features a rotating cast from stage, record and screen, including Von Smith (E!'s "Opening Act"), Kristolyn Lloyd ("The Bold and the Beautiful"), Ginifer King ("Struck By Lightning," Gypsy, Steel Magnolias), Peter Porte ("The Young and the Restless"), Anderson Davis (South Pacific, Les Misérables), Doug Kreeger (Les Misérables), Max Ehrich (Newsies), Jackie Seiden ("New Year's Eve," Hairspray), Ruby Lewis ("Desperate Housewives"), Danielle Truitt ("The Princess and the Frog"), Steve Mazurek, Dionne Gipson, Lindsey Gort, Justin Mortelliti, Jason Paige, James Byous, Ben D. Goldberg and Tomasina Abate.

The Scorsese series features direction by Davis with choreography by Angela Pupello and musical direction by Bratten. Scheel produces. The For the Record series occurs year round and has included For The Record: Boogie Nights, For The Record: Coen Brothers, For The Record: Tarantino in Concert, For the Record: John Hughes (Holiday Road) and For The Record: Baz Luhrmann.

The performance schedule for Scorsese is Thursday–Sunday at 8 PM.
