Forbidden Broadway Cleans Up Its Act!, the 1998 spoof of the Broadway theatre community, was let loose in stores March 23 from the DRG label. Original cast members Bryan Batt, Edward Staudenmayer, Lori Hammel and Kristine Zbornik are heard on the disc, puncturing everything from Ragtime to Footloose. The show was recorded Dec. 17-18, 1998.

Written and co-directed by Gerard Alessandrini, the revue is performed in the downstairs room at Ellen's Stardust Diner in Manhattan, a space dubbed the Stardust Theatre.

The current edition of the show (another chapter in a series begun in 1982) draws its title from the de-sexed Times Square area, where the city has banned porn shops.
