Following a 10-month hiatus, Forbidden Broadway resumed performances Feb. 22. The new edition will officially begin previews March 17.

Forbidden Broadway Comes Out Swinging! includes Alessandrini’s takes on Kinky Boots, Matilda, Rocky, Cabaret, The Bridges of Madison County, Aladdin, Pippin, the turntable-less Les Miz, Motown, The Sound of Music Live! and Bullets Over Broadway, among others.

In a statement Alessandrini said, "We're having a particularly fun time with this one, because the edition is being created as the season unfolds, and the show is changing nightly! We're going to have our Opening Night just a few days after the Tony nominations are announced, so it's a very exciting time to be putting this together."

The latest incarnation of the long-running Broadway spoof features Erica Dorfler and Carter Calvert, who join Scott Richard Foster and Marcus Stevens, who starred in last year's edition.

Forbidden Broadway is created and written by Alessandrini and directed by Phillip George and Alessandrini with musical direction by David Caldwell, set by Megan K. Halpern, lighting by Mark T. Simpson, costumes by Dustin Cross and Philip Heckman, sound by Matt Kraus and wigs by Bobbie Cliffton Zlotnick.

The show is produced by John Freedson, Harriet Yellin and Paul Bartz, in association with Paul G. Rice, Carol Ostrow, Paxton Quigley and Robert Driemeyer, Jamie DeRoy, Lawrence Poster and Tweiss Productions.

Show times are Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 PM, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 7 PM with matinees Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.
