News Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit to Be Recorded By DRG DRG Records will record the newest version of Forbidden Broadway later this week.

The cast of Forbidden Broadway: Special Victim's Unit will head into the recording studio Feb. 10; the CD is set to hit stores April 26. The company of the Gerard Alessandrini revue features Ron Bohmer, Megan Lewis, Jason Mills, Christine Pedi and Jennifer Simard with David Caldwell at the piano.

The latest version of Alessandrini's send-up of theatre fare pokes fun at such Broadway shows as Wicked, Avenue Q, Movin' Out, La Cage aux Folles, Assassins, I Am My Own Wife, The Boy From Oz, Dracula and Bombay Dreams.

The DRG label has previously released "Forbidden Broadway," "Forbidden Broadway Vol. 2," "Forbidden Broadway Vol. 3," "Forbidden Broadway: The 20th Anniversary Collection," "Forbidden Broadway Strikes Back!," "Forbidden Broadway Cleans Up Its Act!" and "Forbidden Broadway 2001: A Spoof Odyssey."

Forbidden Broadway is created, written and co-directed by Gerard Alessandrini. The creative team also includes Phillip George (co-director), Alvin Colt (costume designer), Megan K. Halpern (set designer) and Marc Janowitz (lighting designer). Forbidden Broadway SVU offers performances Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:15 PM, Sundays at 3:30 and 7:30 PM with additional matinees on Saturdays at 4 PM and Wednesdays at 2:30 PM. Tickets, priced $55-$57.50, are available by calling (212) 239-6200.
