News Forbidden Broadway to Return to London's Menier Chocolate Factory Forbidden Broadway, previously seen at London's Menier Chocolate Factory in 2009 and before that in seasons at Jermyn Street Theatre and the West End's Fortune Theatre, is to return to the Menier, beginning performances June 19 prior to an official opening July 2, for a run through Aug. 16.

Written by Gerard Alessandrini, who first created it in 1982, it is directed by Phillip George, who has also directed previous editions of Forbidden Broadway, including Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab, Forbidden Broadway SVU and Forbidden Broadway 20th Anniversary Edition. Other Off-Broadway credits include Shout!, The Road to Qatar and Whoop-Dee-Doo. According to press materials, this updated version of the show will showcase some of the best productions from both Broadway and the West End including The Book of Mormon, Once, Matilda, Wicked and Miss Saigon.

It is presented in association with John Freedson and Harriet Yellin. Casting is still to be announced.
