Classic Arts News Fort Worth Symphony Offers Free Admission to Hurricane Refugees The Fort Worth Symphony has offered free admission for its weekend concerts to residents of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama who have fled to Texas because of Hurricane Katrina.
The FWSO's pre-season festival runs from tomorrow evening through September 4. The program features music by such Eastern European composers as Smetena, Dvoršk, Bart‹k, Liszt, and Janšcek; it culminates with a concert performance of Dvoršk's opera Rusalka on Sunday, September 4, at 2 p.m. Music director Miguel Harth-Bedoya conducts.

For admission, residents of the affected states should show their driver's licenses at the FWSO box office. For more information, call 817-665-6000.
