SANTA MONICA -- The West Coast premiere of Boom!, four new one acts, will take place Oct. 16 at the Church in Ocean Park in Santa Monica, CA. The plays are Coming Soon by Rich Stone; The Original Last Wish Baby by William Seebring; Kreskin Be Damned by Jamie Pachino; and The Cliffs of Moher by Cheri Magid. "The stage is a place where the arts converge and combust, where things go boom," said director Jane McErneany. "We conducted a national search for these plays and received over 400 scripts. I chose these pieces because they ask people to demand more of themselves and the world around them. They challenge the audience to take the road less traveled, to believe in a better world by leading a better life."

The actors include Shano Palovich, Jonathan Neil, Frank Spinelli, Kim Messmer Jenkins, Michael Naughton, Mike Kersey, Chris Devlin, Lina Patel and Chuck Gladney. The production is set to run through Nov. 21 at 235 Hill St. For information, call (310) 322-3142.
