News Frances-Born Rain Won't Let Shakespeare Project Play Outside!; New Dates Set The Hurricane Frances-born downpour which drenched New York City beginning the morning of Sept. 8 has caused the cancellation of the Shakespeare Project's planned events for that day and the next.

The Shakespeare Project launched it first annual Play Outside! Festival of Free Outdoor Theater on Sept. 4. The fest advertises "over 100 performances in 22 different parks in all five boroughs." At least two of those events have been postponed due to the rain. Street juggler and highwire artist Philippe Petit will not be appearing on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9. New performances have been added at 6 PM Sept. 13 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx and 6 PM Sept. 14 at Rufus King Park in Queens.
