Center Theatre Group associate producer Neel Keller directs the work which began performances July 2 at the California company's Kirk Douglas Theatre for a run through July 30.

Set in the French and Spanish mountains of the title, the work from the Scottish scribe follows a seemingly British man (Irwin) who is recovering after he was found lying unconscious in the snow. A young woman (Thompson) from the British Consulate is close to putting together his identity when a person (Conroy) who claims to know the man’s past arrives.

Conroy — known for her turn as Ruth Fisher on the recent HBO drama "Six Feet Under" — has appeared on Broadway in such productions as The Ride Down Mt. Morgan, Ring Around the Moon, The Little Foxes, Two Shakespearean Actors, as well as Our Town (Lincoln Center), In the Summer House, The Secret Rapture and The Rehearsal.

Irwin, a Steppenwolf Theatre Company veteran, has appeared on stage in Fiction, The Grapes of Wrath, Balm in Gilead, My Thing of Love, Frank’s Wild Years and Space as well as Up for Grabs in London opposite Madonna. The actor, who played the father on the short-lived television show "My So-Called Life," has also appeared in "21 Grams," "Haunting of Hill House," "Dr. Dolittle" and "Midnight Run."

The design team for Pyrenees includes Mark Wendland (set), Allison Leach (costume), Geoff Korf (lighting) with Robbin E. Broad and Michael Hooker (sound). Sue Karutz serves as the production stage manager. Greig enjoyed four presentations of his plays in England last season — Pyrenees at London's Menier Chocolate Factory, The Cosmonaut's Last Message to the Woman He Once Loved in the Former Soviet Union at the Donmar Warehouse, The American Pilot at the Royal Shakespeare Company and an adaptation of Alfred Jarry's Ubu the King as part of The Barbicon's Young Genius season.

Tickets for Pyrenees at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, 9820 Washington Blvd. in downtown Culver City, CA, are available by calling (213) 628-2772. For more information, visit www.KirkDouglasTheatre.org.
