Cabaret singer Francesca Capetta will be joined by Tony Award winner Liliane Montevecchi for a July 12 birthday salute to the 100th anniversary of the birth of late film star and recording artist Dean Martin in the Weill Recital Hall at New York’s Carnegie Hall.

Francesca Capetta Sings Dean Martin: A Centennal Celebration will celebrate the life of the Italian-American singer (1917-1995) who teamed with comedian Jerry Lewis in the 1940s and 1950s, then went solo with a long career in Las Vegas and in the recording studio. He was a member of the so-called Rat Pack of performers that included Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and others.

Written and performed by Capetta, the show will feature Martin hits including “That’s Amore,” “Everybody Loves Somebody,” “Ain't That a Kick in the Head,” and “Volare.” Capetta’s credits include Francesca Capetta: An Italian In New York, a nightclub show seen at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

She will be joined by Montevecchi who starred on Broadway in Nine (Tony and Drama Desk Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical), Grand Hotel (Tony nomination}, La Plume de Ma Tante, and Folies Bergère. Also performing will be cabaret singer Stacy Sullivan.

Music director Ian Herman will lead a band that includes Russell Farhang and Charlie Caranicas. Supporting performers include Marina Colonna, Anne Bragg, Paola Vianney, Pedro Coppeti, Anette Berning, Chelsea Lee Wheatley, Philippa Lynas, Matt Weinstein, Zachary Swartout, Robert Murray, and Josh Greenblatt.

Tickets, priced at $35, are available at the Carnegie Hall box office, 154 West 57th Street, on the phone at (212) 247-7800, and at Carnegiehall.org.
