1999 Tony Award winner Elizabeth Franz (Death of a Salesman), playwright August Wilson (Jitney, Seven Guitars, The Piano Lesson) Tammy Grimes ("High Art"), 1996 Tony Award winner Donna Murphy (The King and I, Passion), Maryann Plunkett (Me and My Girl), Tony Award-winning director Lloyd Richards (Fences) and 1996 Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Seven Guitars) are expected to lead the gala goodbye party for Huntington Theatre Company producing director Peter Altman March 27. The evening will also mark the unveiling for the Altman Fund for Artistic Diversity, a grant to support theatre artists of color at the Huntington.

Altman served the HTC for 18 seasons, shepherding over 96 productions, 14 of them world premieres and 36 of them regional premieres. In that time, he helped establish the theatre's relationship with Wilson and sought to present diverse American works from Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 to Sisters Matsumoto.
