News Free Bryant Park Concert, The Bernstein Songbook, to Feature White and Noll Tony Award-winning actress Lillias White and Christiane Noll, who is currently starring in the Signature's world premiere of the new musical Ace, will be among the performers taking part in a free concert Oct. 2 in Manhattan's Bryant Park.

Presented by The New York Pops, the 5:30 PM concert in the midtown park will be hosted by WQXR's Midge Woolsey and pianist Constantine Kitsopoulos. Entitled The Bernstein Songbook, the early-evening performance will feature songs from such Bernstein classics as West Side Story, On the Town, Wonderful Town and more.

Joining White and Noll will be a trio of musicians from The New York Pops as well as tenor Martín Solá and violinist Sara Caswell. The concert will preview The New York Pops' Oct. 17 Carnegie Hall performance, which is part of the festival commemorating the 90th anniversary of Bernstein's birth, Bernstein: The Best of All Possible Worlds.

The concert is part of Bryant Park's New York Now music series.

Lillias White, who starred in the award-winning revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, garnered a Tony Award for her work in Cy Coleman's The Life. She also starred on Broadway in Barnum and Once on This Island and as Effie in the revival of Dreamgirls. White has also appeared in the Actors' Fund of America's benefit concerts of Dreamgirls, Funny Girl and Hair and was part of the cast of the City Center Encores! production of Purlie.

Christiane Noll, who was recently on the New York stage in Frankenstein, made her Broadway debut as Emma Carew in Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde. She later joined the Broadway company of It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues and starred in the City Center Encores! production of The New Moon. Noll appeared in the national tours of Urinetown, Grease!, Miss Saigon and City of Angels, and she has recorded four solo albums: "Christiane Noll — A Broadway Love Story" (Varese Sarabande Records), "Live at the Westbank Café," (Car-Jam Records), "My Personal Property" (Jay Records) and "The Ira Gershwin Album" (Fynsworth Alley). The singing actress was also seen in the American premiere of The Witches of Eastwick and is currently part of the cast of the Signature Theatre's staging of the new musical Ace. No tickets or reservations are necessary for the concert, located on Bryant Park's Upper Terrace. Bryant Park is located in midtown Manhattan at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue.
