The concert will feature the talents of Brooklyn-born hit maker Sedaka as well as ASCAP Award-winning singer-songwriter Jim Van Slyke, the MAC-winning harmony group Marquee Five, actress Carole Demas and Sedaka's niece, newcomer Holland Grossman, who will make her Broadway debut in Rebecca.
Raissa Katona Bennett is the evening’s host and producer. Returning as series regulars are Bistro Award-winning big band innovator Terese Genecco and the Windham Hill recording artist Sean Harkness on guitar with David Caldwell, Kenneth Gartman and Ian Herman on piano, and Skip Ward on bass.
Will Reynolds will also offer the premiere of his song "If the World Looked Like You."
The series will continue Sept. 12 (the music of Ann Hampton Callaway) and Oct. 3 (the songs of Michael John LaChiusa), both at 6:30 PM.
The concerts take place at the South Park of Tudor City Greens Park (between 41st and 42nd Streets, and 1st and 2nd Avenues).
