There will be a reading of Christopher Kyle's Event Horizon Mar. 16 at 8 PM at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Event Horizon, described as "a darkly comic look at the '90s," is the tale of a man who -- in an attempt to win the affection of his teenage son -- concocts a dangerous investment scheme. The play has previously received readings at Playwrights Horizons and at Vassar College (by the New York Stage & Film Company).
Kyle has written for the NBC series "Homicide." His recent plays include Plunge and The Monogamist, both of which had their premieres at Playwrights Horizons.
The reading is free, but seating in the Bruno Walter Auditorium is limited. For more information, call (212) 870-1630.
