News Free Reading of Fitzgerald's Jem & I Presented Oct. 30 The free Out Loud reading series at the Ars Nova continues Oct. 30 with Ron Fitzgerald's Jem & I.

Anne Kauffman directs the one-night-only reading, which features the talents of Halley Feiffer, Ana Reeder and Kristen Sieh. Show time is 7 PM. "Jem is willing to trade sexual favors for a shot at jump-starting her modeling career," according to press notes. "Jem's twin sister, Abby, prays to the devil. Jem and Abby's mom, Loraine, serves on as many committees at church as it takes for her to feel clean. Unfortunately for everyone, she's also the high school guidance counselor."

Playwright Fitzgerald has also penned Cyclone, Parts Unknown, The River, Hair of the Dog, Safe and an adaptation of The Diaries of Adam and Eve. His books include "Becoming a Great Hitter," "Fielding Ground Balls" and "Essential Fishing."
