News Free Reading of Margie & Josephine to Feature Ebert and Kakkar Ars Nova's free play-reading series, Out Loud, will continue June 15 with Carly Mensch's Margie & Josephine.

Directed by Jason Eagan, the reading will boast the talents of Gabriel Ebert and Mahira Kakkar. Show time is 7 PM.

"Meet Josephine, the wife of a lowly dressmaker on New York's Lower East Side, circa 1890," according to press notes. "Meet Margie, a young woman who has just moved to New York, circa now. When Margie takes a job playing Josephine at the local heritage museum, past pervades present in this weird and comic tale of new beginnings and epic journeys."

Mensch's plays include All Hail Hurricane Gordo (Humana 2008 in a co-production with the Cleveland Playhouse), Len, Asleep in Vinyl (Second Stage Theatre Uptown, dir. by Jackson Gay) and Oblivion (commissioned by Playwrights Horizons).
