News Free Reading of Pretty Theft Set for March 13 The free Out Loud reading series at the Ars Nova will continue March 13 with Adam Szymkowicz's coming-of-age tale Pretty Theft.

Evan Cabnet will direct the reading, which will feature the talents of Naomi Aborn, Heidi Armbruster, Ian Brennan, Austin Lysy, Keira Naughton and Heidi Schreck. Show time is 7 PM. "In the summer between high school and college," press notes read, "Allegra must fend for herself as she is faced with a summer job at a rest home, a new best friend who's hellbent on self-destruction, a boyfriend who is a terrible kisser, a disastrous roadtrip in a stolen car, a kidnapper, and provocative lipstick."

Adam Szymkowicz's other plays include The Relationship Game, Deflowering Waldo, Anne, The Art Machine, Someone I Don’t Know, Hotel West, Pretty Theft, Food For Fish, Manifest Western and Nerve. He is a Lecomte du Nouy Prize winner and was a semi-finalist for the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 P73 Grant.
