Directed by Joel Froomkin, Cruelty will play five performances at The Players Theatre beginning Aug. 18. The cast comprises Elizabeth Van Meter, Holter Graham, Justin Barrett, Aimee DeShayes and Pawel Szajda. The creative team also includes Jerome Martin (set design) and Grant W. Yeager (lighting design). “When children from a distinguished family reunite for a celebration honoring their father,” read Cruelty press notes, “they enact a plan of retribution based on a deep secret one of the siblings learned about him 15 years earlier. Their moment of hope, however, is eclipsed by a shattering lie.”

Performance dates are Aug. 18 at 4:45 PM, Aug. 20 at 7:15 PM, Aug. 21 at 7:15 PM, Aug. 25 at 5 PM and Aug. 26 at 9:30 PM.

The Players Theatre is located in Manhattan at 115 MacDougal Street at Minetta Lane. Tickets, priced at $15, are available by calling (212) 279-4488 or (888) FringeNYC or by visiting www.FringeNYC.org.
