News Fringe Hit SUV: The Musical! Returns Off-Broadway Jan. 20-21 Haters of SUVs—that is, Sport Utility Vehicles, those bulbous, overgrown, all-terrain vehicles that tower over traffic, intimidate pedestrians, guzzle fuel and eat away at the ozone, and yet remain astoundingly popular among carbuyers—will find a musical to love in SUV: The Musical!.

The new show ran at the New York International Fringe Festival, Aug. 13-27. It now returns to the Wings Theatre Theatre (154 Christopher Street) for three performances on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21.

The show, presented by Neo-Shtick Theater—is described as your standard "boy-meet-girl, boy-designs-really-big-car-for-girl, girl-leaves boy-for-environmental-activist, boy-is-sentenced-to-death-for-crimes against-humanity" love story.

The show was written by Gersh Kuntzman (former author of the New York Post's "MetroGnome" column and a subsequent column at Newsweek, and now editor of Brooklyn Papers) and Marc Dinkin and is directed by Eric Oleson.

The cast includes Kenny Wade Marshall, Jen Kersey, Bryant Keller, Chris Griggs, Stephanie Roy, Matt Knight, Jerry Miller, Adam Wolfsdorf, Dina Plotch and Gersh Kuntzman.
