Home-works Theatre presents Playa a la Turka, a multimedia play featuring Turkish Performing Arts as part of the Fringe Festival. The Playa a la Turkaprogram runs at CHARAS' Bimbo Rivas Performance Space, with shows at various times starting Aug. 20 and running through Aug. 27. There is no show on Aug. 26. In Playa a la Turka, writer and director Yesim Ozsoy Gulan has put together a variety of pieces using the Ottoman (Turkish) practices of Katagoz Puppet Theatre, Meddah Storytelling and Ortaoyunu Improvisational Play.

Tickets are $12. The Bimbo Rivas Performance Space is located at CHARAS, 605 E. Ninth St. on the Lower East Side. For information all (212) 420-8877.
