Chicago's Factory Theatre and Mousetrap Productions will present Nick Digilio and Michael Vieau's The Vinyl Shop Aug. 18-29 as a part of the New York International Fringe Festival. Digilio directs.

Based on the Nick Hornby novel "High Fidelity," Vinyl Shop is the story of Rob, a 34 year old man who spends days at his struggling vinyl shop coming up with All Time Best Top Five lists with his two employees. When his live-in girlfriend leaves him for another man, Rob is forced to confront his loss and his life. "High Fidelity" is currently in post production as a film version starring John and Joan Cusack, Harold Ramis and Lisa Bonet with direction by Stephen Frears ("Dangerous Liaisons," "The Grifters").

The Factory Theatre Co., founded in 1992 by six performers and writers, has produced such Chicago shows as "Santa Clause Conquers the Martians," "White Trash Wedding and a Funeral," "ABBArama" "FAT!" and "Herb Stabler, Wandering Spirit."

Tickets are $11 and can be reserved by calling (212) 420-8877 or (888) FringeNYC. The Henry Street Settlement Recital Hall is located at 466 Grand Street at Pitt Street. The New York Fringe Festival can be found at http://www.fringenyc.org.
