News Fugard Will Discuss Coming Home July 12 in Los Angeles Playwright Athol Fugard will lead a talk-back following the Fountain Theatre production of his Apartheid-era work Coming Home.

Following the June 12 matinee, Fugard will join the audience for a discussion of his play, which is making its West Coast premiere at Los Angeles' Fountain through Aug. 29. Coming Home, according to the press notes, "exposes life in contemporary South Africa through the unforgettable love of a mother for her child and the promise of a new world."

Stephen Sachs directs a cast that includes Deidrie Henry, Thomas Silcott, Adolphus Ward, Matthew Elam, Noah Murtadha and Timothy Taylor.

Fugard's plays include Blood Knot, Boesman and Lena, Sizwe Bansi is Dead, The Island, Master Harold and the Boys, My Children! My Africa!, Exits and Entrances, Victory, Bootjie and the Oubaas and Visions and Dreams. His play Have You Seen Us? will receive its world premiere at the Long Wharf Theatre in January 2010.
