News Full Cast Announced for New Production of Charley's Aunt at London's Menier Chocolate Factory Full casting has been announced for the new production of Brandon Thomas' classic play Charley's Aunt at London's Menier Chocolate Factory, which begins performances Sept. 20 prior to an official opening Oct. 1.

The previously announced Sam Kelly has had to withdraw from the production, but is now replaced by veteran actor Charles Kay, who joins the principals Mathew Horne, Jane Asher, Norman Pace and Steven Pacey. The cast will also include Benjamin Askew as Charley, Ellie Beaven as Amy, Charlie Clemmow as Ela, Dominic Tighe as Jack and Leah Whitaker as Kitty.

Kay was part of the original cast of the long-running play The Woman in Black. In his extensive stage career appearing with both the RSC and National, other credits include All's Well That Ends Well (RSC Stratford and Gielgud), and The Miser and The Madness of George III (both National Theatre). TV and film includes "Law and Order," "Goodnight Mr. Tom," "Henry V" and "Amadeus."
