News Full Casting Announced for Return of To Kill a Mockingbird to London's Open Air Theatre; U.K. Tour Will Follow Full casting has been announced for the return of To Kill a Mockingbird to the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, where it was previously staged in 2013 and will begin performances Aug. 28 for a run through Sept. 13, prior to an extensive U.K. national tour.

Adapted for the stage by Christopehr Sergel, based on the novel by Harper Lee, Timothy Sheader's production will feature Daniel Betts as Atticus Finch (played last year by Robert Sean Leonard), alongside Zackary Momoh as Tom Robinson and Christopher Akrill as Boo Radley.

Also in the cast are Geoff Aymer (Reverend Sykes), Victoria Bewick (Mayella Ewell), David Carlyle (Nathan Radley/Mr. Gilmer), Natalie Grady (Miss Maudie Atkinson), Jamie Kenna (Heck Tate), Susan Lawson Reynolds (Calpurnia) and Christopher Saul (Mrs Walter Cunningham/Judge Taylor). Jemima Bennett, Ava Potter and Rosie Boore will share the role of Scout, whilst Harry Bennett, Arthur Franks and Billy Price will share the role of Jem. The role of Dill Harris will be shared by Leo Heller, Connor Brundish and Milo Panni.

Phil King, who composed and performed the score for the 2013 production, will also be part of the new company.

Betts' previous theatre credits include Skylight (National Theatre), The Winter’s Tale (Royal Shakespeare Company), Dial M for Murder (U.K. tour), Sweet Bird of Youth (Old Vic), The Great Game (Tricycle, NYC & U.S. tour) and The King’s Speech (Wyndham’s Theatre).



After London, the tour (which is being co-produced by Regent's Park Theatre Ltd, Fiery Angel, Adam Spiegel and William Village) will visit Canterbury, Norwich, Malvern, Woking, Leicester, Cardiff, High Wycombe, Cambridge, Birmingham, Bath, Chichester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Nottingham, Dartford, Milton Keynes, Southampton, Leeds, Plymouth, Newcastle, Cheltenham, Richmond and Salford.
