Fully Committed to Be Revived at London's Menier Chocolate Factory; Kevin Bishop to Star | Playbill

News Fully Committed to Be Revived at London's Menier Chocolate Factory; Kevin Bishop to Star Becky Mode's Fully Committed, the Off-Broadway hit which received its British premiere at London's Menier Chocolate Factory in 2004, is to be revived there in a new production, directed by its original London and New York star Mark Setlock, and starring Kevin Bishop.

It will begin performances Sept. 3 prior to an official opening Sept. 10 for a run through Nov. 15.

Described in press materials as a "whirlwind culinary comedy set in one of Manhattan’s hottest restaurants, where the city never sleeps and the phone never stops ringing," it chronicles the experiences of a "resting actor" called Sam Peliczowksi, who mans the phones at a very popular and exclusive New York restaurant, where he has to juggle scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and an egomaniacal boss.

Bishop is best known for his own comedy sketch show "The Kevin Bishop Show" for TV's Channel 4. He is also a regular on the U.S. sitcom "Super Fun Night" and BBC's "Whites." His stage appearances include Fat Pig (West End) and The Recruiting Officer (Chichester Festival Theatre).

Setlock was an original company member of Rent and a co-creator of Fully Committed, which he performed Off-Broadway, in LA, across America and at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Set and costume design is by Tim Shortall, lighting design is by Tim Mascall and sound design is by Gareth Fry. To book tickets, which go on general sale July 30, contact the box office on 020 7378 1713 or visit www.menierchocolatefactory.com.
