News Fun Home Star Beth Malone Sets NYC Solo Concert Beth Malone, who earned a 2015 Tony Award nomination for starring as Alison Bechdel in the Tony-winning musical Fun Home, will perform her solo show So Far Aug. 31 at Joe's Pub.

The 7:30 PM concert asks audiences to "follow this adorably insane little lesbian as she takes you on a journey from Castle Rock, Colorado to the South Pacific. From little girl crushes to grown-woman heartbreak. Join us for comedy, tragedy and a crush on Connie Chung."

Malone made her Broadway debut in the Johnny Cash musical Ring of Fire. She recently starred in the re-imagined staging of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, directed by Kathleen Marshall. Her numerous theatre credits include 9 to 5, The Break Up Notebook, Annie Get Your Gun, Les Misérables and the world premiere of Sister Act.

The concert is presented by LezCab, a non-profit theatre company devoted to creating an accurate and meaningful representation of queer women in order to foster equality and community. LezCab is led by artistic director Rachel Kunstadt.
