Gabriel Barre, a performer in Ain't Broadway Grand and a busy director off-Broadway and regionally, will helm the new musical Stars in Your Eyes at Off-Broadway's Cherry Lane Theatre, starting previews Oct. 1 for an opening Oct. 24. As confirmed by spokesperson John Barlow, newcomer Chip Meyrelles penned the libretto and score for the piece, which concerns romances sparked by the fabled "man-in-the-moon." Tom Wirtshafter and Planetearth Partners are producing.
