Tony winner Gabriel Ebert (Matilda The Musical), Tony nominee Jon Michael Hill (Superior Donuts), and 2018 Lucille Lortel nominee Namir Smallwood (Pipeline) will lead LCT3’s newest play, Pass Over.

The play will bow at Lincoln Center Theater’s Claire Tow Theater June 2 through July 15. Opening night is set for June 18.

Written by Antoinette Nwandu and directed by Danya Taymor, the production marks the New York premiere of the play. The film version of the work, directed by Spike Lee, recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Hill plays Moses and Smallwood plays Kitch; Ebert rounds out the complete cast of the play, billed as a mahsup of the Exodus saga and Waiting for Godot.

The production features scenic design by Wilson Chin, lighting design by Marcus Doshi, and sound design by Justin Ellington.

Pass Over was originally produced and presented at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre, where both Hill and Smallwood are company members.
