At the tail end of a successful return engagement of audience favorite, Smoke on the Mountain, running now through Aug. 22, Georgia's Theatre in the Square will present Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane, opening Aug. 18, and running through Sept. 26. Set in rural Ireland, Beauty Queen is the tale of an aging, manipulative mother and her interference with her daughter's chance at love. Leenane won the 1998 Best Play Award from the Outer Critics Circle, the Drama League and the Drama Desk, in addition to four Tony Awards (Art took the best play Tony, however).
