NY's Sightline Stage Co. will present the New York premiere of Canadian playwright George F. Walker's The End of Civilization, Jan. 22 - Feb. 14, 1999 at Raw Space (529 West 42nd Street).
Sightline Stage Company, the artists formerly known as Theatre Outrageous, changed their name at a benefit in October, after the company decided the old name didn't really reflect the directions they wanted to go in (apparently more moderate than before) . Last season, the company (as Outrageous) produced the New York premiere of Gip Hoppe's Savior of the Universe to mixed-to-good reviews. It ran at the same time Hoppe's Jackie was playing on Broadway.
Walker, along with Brad Frazier (Ugly Man), is one of the more widely produced Canadian playwrights on American soil. Other plays by Walker include: Featuring Loretta, Problem Child and Tough.
Sightline Stage Co.'s production of George F. Walker's The End of Civilization plays at NY's Raw Space, Jan. 22- Feb. 14, 1999. For tickets or more information, call (212) 726-3588.
