Richard Stafford directs and choreographs the musical that will run through July 1. The classic, which features Cohan's signature songs, has a book by Michael Stewart, John Pascal and Francine Pascal.

In addition to Scherer (Lovemusik), the cast includes Jim Walton (Merrily We Roll Along), Melodie Wolford, Amanda Trusty, Laura Schutter, Jeanette Minson, Katharine Heaton, Gary Lynch, Carol Schuberg, Erin Burniston, Rob Gibbs, Glenn Giron, Drew King, Colin Pritchard, Jonathan Stahl and Karen Webb.

Leo Carusone serves as musical director on a creative team that also includes John Farrell (set design), Andrew Gmoser (lighting design), Jonathan Hatton (sound design) and Leon Dobkowski (costume design).

The musical, according to WBT, "tells the life story of George M. Cohan, a giant of the American musical theatre who gave us such songs as 'Yankee Doodle Dandy,' 'Over There,' 'You're A Grand Old Flag' and 'Give My Regards to Broadway.' The show follows him over a 60-year period from the late 1880s until 1937. Beginning with his childhood in Rhode Island on the vaudeville circuit with his parents and sister as 'The Four Cohans,' to New York, where he starts his 25-year absolute reign of the Broadway stage."
