As previously reported, Ruehl (The Goat, American Plan, Lost in Yonkers) will star in the Bay Street engagement of Buffini's comedic chiller that was a hit during its 2002 West End run. Dinner runs July 7-Aug. 2 with an official opening on July 11.
David Esbjornson (Cymbeline, Our Country's Good) directs the production that centers on Paige (Ruehl), the evening's hostess who is throwing a dinner party to celebrate the publication of her husband's new bestseller.
Daniel Gerroll will portray Ruehl's onstage husband Lars in a cast that also features J. Smith-Cameron as Wynne, Reed Birney as Hal, Laura Campbell as Sian and Brian Hutchison as a stranger who arrives just as the evening begins to deteriorate.
Dinner will have set design by Troy Hourie, lighting by Ben Stanton, costumes by Elizabeth Hope Clancy and sound design by Mark Bennett.
