The Gospel According to Heather from Tony nominee Paul Gordon's new musical is giving a first look at the Off-Broadway premiere with new production photos. Performances began June 14 ahead of its June 22 opening night. The limited run will continue through July 9.

In The Gospel According to Heather, Heather Krebs wants a boyfriend, but how can she navigate her way through high school if she might be the new Messiah? A small town in Ohio grapples with politics, religion, and teenage romance in the pop musical featuring a book, music, and lyrics by Tony nominee Gordon (Jane Eyre).

Starring are Carlos Alcala, Lauren Elder (Hair), Badia Farha (School of Rock), Maria Habeeb, Jeremy Kushnier (Atomic), Maya Lagerstam, Katey Sagal, Carson Stewart, Zach Rand, Brittany Nicole Williams (The Prom), and Wayne Wilson. Rounding out the company as understudies are Armando Gutierrez, Georgia Kate Haege, and Sarita Amani Nash.

Director-choreographer Rachel Klein helms the creative team which includes music director Jonathan Bauerfeld, music supervisor Jodie Moore, set designers Christopher and Justin Swader, lighting designer Jamie Roderick, costume designer Saawan Tiwari, sound designer Sean Hagerty, and prop designer Brendan McCann. Casting is by Stephanie Klapper Casting.

The Gospel According to Heather is being presented by Amas Musical Theatre in association with Jim Kierstead, Broadway Factor, Linda Karn and David Bryant.
