Get a first look at the encore run of Lyndsey Turner's Olivier-Nominated West End production of The Crucible at London's National Theatre with new production photos. Previews began June 7 before opening on June 15. The strictly limited run will conclude September 2. See the production photo gallery below.

Leading the company are Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) as Abigail Williams, Brian Gleeson (Peaky Blinders) as John Proctor, and Caitlin FitzGerald (Succession) as Elizabeth Proctor. They are joined by returning cast members Karl Johnson (Hot Fuzz) as Giles Corey, Fisayo Akinade (Romeo & Juliet) as Reverend Hale, and Matthew Marsh (Dunkirk) as Deputy-Governor Danforth.

Arthur Miller explores the United States' 1692 Salem Witch Trials (and mid-20th century McCarthyism) in The Crucible. One village descends into fear as a group of young women's words gain power, and private vendettas become public accusations.

The West End cast also features the return of David Ahmad as Matthew Hopkins, Zoë Aldrich as Ann Putnam/Sarah Good, Stephanie Beattie as Martha Corey, Raphael Bushay as Ezekiel Cheever, Henry Everett as Judge Hathorne, Nick Fletcher as Reverend Samuel Parris, Colin Haigh as Francis Nurse, Nadine Higgin as Tituba, Gracie McGonigal as Susanna Walcott, Alastair Parker as Thomas Putnam, Joy Tan as Mercy Lewis, and Tilly Tremayne as Rebecca Nurse. Joining them are Tama Phethean as Marshal Herrick, Amy Snudden as Betty Parris, and Nia Towle as Mary Warren.

Rounding out the cast are ensemble members Christopher Birch, Lucy Brindle, Grace Farrell, Chyna-Rose Frederick, Miya James, Ebony Jonelle, and Samuel Townsend.

Turner helms the creative team which includes Tony-winning set designer Es Devlin, costume designer Catherine Fay, lighting designer Tim Lutkin, sound designers Tingying Dong and Christopher Shutt, composer and arranger Caroline Shaw, and music director and arranger Osnat Schmool. Casting is by Alastair Coomer and Naomi Downham. They are joined by fight director Bret Yount, intimacy directors Ita O’Brien and Louise Kempton, voice and dialect coach Kate Godfrey, dialect coaches Danièle Lydon and Hazel Holder, and resident director Sophie Dillon Moniram.

Olivier winner Lyndsey Turner's production of The Crucible originally ran at the National Theatre last fall (read the reviews here). It was nominated for the Olivier for Best Revival and Lutkin was nominated for Best Lighting Design.
