The Real O’Neals' Noah Galvin and Hello, Dolly! star Taylor Trensch will step into the title role after Ben Platt’s departure.
The producers of Dear Evan Hansen recently announced that Taylor Trensch, currently appearing on Broadway in Hello, Dolly!, will star as the title character in the Tony-winning musical beginning mid-January 2018.
Noah Galvin, fresh off his break-out performance in ABC’s The Real O’Neals, will play the role of Evan Hansen beginning November 21, until Trensch begins performances next year.
