Glick (Spring Awakening, Into the Woods) joins a cast that also features Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change; Jelly's Last Jam), Nathan Lee Graham (Wig Out!), Natalie Joy Johnson (Legally Blonde) and Alexandra Silber (Master Class, Hello Again).

Our Lady J will perform live in addition to serving as music director.

Conceived by In Darfur playwright Winter Miller (book and lyrics) and Drama Desk Award-winning director Josh Hecht (Christine Jorgensen Reveals, Wearing Lorca's Bowtie, Out of Iceland), Amandine has music and lyrics by Emmy Award winner Lance Horne ("First Things Last").

Amandine will officially open Jan. 16, 2013, for a run through Jan. 26, 2013.

Amandine, according to the authors, "tells the story of a person caught profoundly 'in between.' Born intersex and raised as a girl in the most traditional and cloistered of settings, Amandine is too smart, too ambitious, too awkward—and too unlike the other girls. Driven by shame and fear of her unruly body, she retreats into a life of the mind, teaching in a highly religious girls' academy. Amandine falls in love, but soon her body betrays her, leading to a shocking discovery with devastating consequences. Her final years are spent wandering Paris in a new role: that of a man. Yet, Amandine's struggle is ours: to be accepted for who we are, as we are."

The creative team includes set designer Andromache Chalfant, lighting designer Tyler Micoleau and sound designer Robert Kaplowitz.

Tickets, priced $50, are available by visiting CherryLaneTheatre.org. The Cherry Lane Theatre is located at 38 Commerce Street.
