The evening of dance, music, theatre and film will celebrate the achievements of women over the age of 40 and examine the not-so-secret world of women and ageism. In addition to performances by von Furstenberg, Gillette and Kristen, the event will feature dance performances choreographed by Mercedes Ellington, original musical material by lyricist and composer Gretchen Cryer and Nancy Ford, and the cast of Women of a Certain Age - The Songs of Kantor and Dorn.
The New York Coalition of Professional Women in the Arts and Media is a resource for women in the performing arts and media industries. The organization addresses and actively pursues improvements in social conditions such as education, health care and equal opportunity, which affect the quality of life of members.
