CHICAGO -- Dulcie Gilmore, who resigned under pressure last August as executive director of the Auditorium Theatre, has been named general manager of the Ford Center for the Performing Arts/Oriental Theatre. Owned by Toronto-based Livent, the Loop venue is currently undergoing a $35 million renovation before its Oct. 27 grand reopening with the Midwest premiere of the musical #Ragtime%. (Derspite the dethroning of Livent CEO Garth Drabinsky, the show will go on.) Gilmore will take charge of a marketing and box office team currently selling that show for all it's worth.
