News "Girls" Creator and Star Lena Dunham Will Host "Saturday Night Live" Lena Dunham, the creator and star of the acclaimed HBO series "Girls," will make her "Saturday Night Live" hosting debut March 8.

The musical guest will be The National, whose most recent album, “Trouble Will Find Me,” received a 2014 Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album; their documentary, "Mistaken For Strangers," hits theatres the last week of March.

As previously reported, "Saturday Night Live" returns March 1 with host Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck.

“Saturday Night Live” is produced in association with Broadway Video; the creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
