Girls Talk, an evening of 15 short pieces written and performed by the women of Theatre Neo, continues every Thursday through Aug. 26 at the Hudson Avenue Theatre in Hollywood.
Theatre Neo is a group of actors, writers and directors who have formed a resident company at the Hudson. They specialize in presenting new works which range from monologues, one-act plays and readings.
Among the 15 plays on display at Girls Talk are The Dark Kalamazoo, a woman's memory of true love in Africa; The Kiss, which deals with the intimate truth that emerges at the moment just before a kiss; and The Bimbo in the Manicure Shop, in which a woman has a major revelation about getting a manicure and women's desire to belittle their own worth to please a man.
