News Glaser’s Family Secrets Opens March 8 Sherry Glaser's encore engagement of Family Secrets officially opens at the 37 Arts Theatre March 8; previews began Feb. 22.

Directed by Bob Balaban, the solo show will play through April 16.

In 1993 actress Glaser opened Off-Broadway in her one-woman show Family Secrets, garnering a Theater World Award, a Drama Desk nomination and an Outer Critic nomination for her performance.

Family Secrets, according to press notes, “is an intimate portrait of five members of a Jewish family transplanted from the Bronx to Southern California.”

The creative team for the production comprises Rob Odorisio (scenic designer), John-Paul Szczepanski (lighting designer, based on the original design by Brian MacDevitt) and Ryan Powers (sound design).

Sherry Glaser’s solo shows include Coping and Family Secrets. She collaborated with Thais Mazur on the theatre/dance project Remember This. Among her new works are In Touch with Reality, Oh My Goddess! and The Adventures of Super Activist Mother. 37 Arts is located in Manhattan at 450 West 37th Street.
