News Glass Menagerie and DiPietro World Premiere Complete Florida Rep Season Tennessee Williams' haunting family portrait The Glass Menagerie will kick off the 2008-2009 season at Florida Repertory Theatre.

Amanda, Laura and Tom Wingfield, the characters central to Menagerie, take to the Florida stage Sept. 23-Oct. 12. Garson Kanin's long-running Broadway comedy Born Yesterday will follow, playing Oct. 24-Nov. 16.

Indian Blood, A.R. Gurney's 2005 Off-Broadway holiday-themed work, runs Nov. 28-Dec. 21, while Brian Friel's Tony Award-winning drama Dancing at Lughnasa kicks off the new year, Jan. 9-Feb. 1, 2009.

Two works from Joe DiPietro, including the world premiere of The Last Romance, will run back to back at Florida Rep. Last Romance – playing Feb. 13-March 8, 2009 – is described as an old-fashioned comedy about two senior citizens finding unexpected love. DiPietro's whodunit, The Art of Murder, is set to follow from March 20-April 12, 2009.

The final two offerings of the season are Lawrence Roman's comedy Alone Together, running April 24-May 17, 2009; and Willy Russell's 1988 Olivier Award-winning comedy, Shirley Valentine, May 29-June 7, 2009.
