Classic Arts News Glenn Close to Host 'Live From Lincoln Center' Holiday Broadcast Jazz at Lincoln Center's annual holiday concert, "Red Hot Holiday Stomp," will be hosted by Glenn Close in a live broadcast on PBS's Live From Lincoln Center next month.
Performing at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola in Frederick P. Rose Hall, JALC artistic director and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis will be joined by Wycliffe "Pinecone" Gordon, Wess "Warmdaddy" Anderson, Victor Goines, Joe Temperley, "Papa" Don Vappie, Reginald Veal, Dan Nimmer and Herlin Riley in a program of original music and holiday arrangements.

The evening will also feature the broadcast premiere of Marsalis's Music, Deep Rivers In My Soul, a collaboration with Maya Angelou, inspired by the poet's work. Law & Order actress S. Epatha Merkerson will read; performing with Marsalis are Walter Blanding, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez, Ali Jackson and tap dancer Jared Grimes.

Live From Lincoln Center's "Red Hot Holiday Stomp" will be broadcast on December 10 at 8 p.m. on PBS. Check your local listings; visit www.jalc.org for more information.
