News Glitz Crackers Gals Welcome Someone Wicked to Cabaret Sept. 1 Glitz Crackers, the monthly musical-spiked cabaret show that stars Paige Turner and Eve Starr, who like to goose Broadway and pop culture with their songs and salty comment, returns to Dillon's in Manhattan 11 PM Sept. 1

The "drag tour-de-force" is "unlike anything you have experienced," Turner told Playbill.com. "Because we are theatre gals, we put on a show — and I mean a show. One of our main focuses has been to bring in people from the theatre community to showcase their talent, let them do something they haven't always had a chance to show."

On Sept. 1, the girls welcome former Miss Ohio in the Miss America Pageant — Broadway's Tiffany Haas (Wicked). The former beauty queen "will be-dazzle you with plenty of pageantry and a voice to match."

Now in its seventh month, Glitz Crackers is new and different at each performance, usually anchored by a fresh theme. The shows are packed every time, with post-show Broadway folk. (The $5 cover and no minimum helps.) Turner said the audience is comprised of members of the New York theatre community, including performers, directors, musicians, casting people and more.

Starr and Turner's shtick includes a mix of standup banter, live singing and lip-syncing, often with a musical theatre angle. There's a Broadway banter section in which the mascara-painted ladies dish the latest dirt on the Rialto.

Past guests have included Ben Cameron (Wicked, Sweet Charity) Katie Adams (cabaret/recording artist) Niki Scalera (Tarzan) Rachel Stern (High Fidelity) and many more. Paul Loesel is on piano for special guests.

Dillon's Lounge is at 245 W. 54th Street across from Studio 54. No reservations are necessary; it's first-come, first served.
