Arts Brookfield, which offers cultural programming at the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place (230 Vesey Street), is presenting a Global Waves of Tradition festival through May 5.

Each day has focused on a different part of the world, from West Africa, Japan, Ireland, and the Middle East to Latin America. Beginning at 12:30 PM, the daily programming finds artists telling their stories through music and dance. The festival culminates in a Friday night concert at 7:30 PM.

Arts Brookfield is also planning the May 19 Raga Marathon, presented in partnership with the New York Guitar Festival. The day-long concert event will include Debashish Bhattacharya, Rez Abbasi, DJ Rekha, Krishna Bhatt, Anupam Shobhakar, and Gyan Riley.
