Go Backstage with Andréa Burns for Her Final Performance at On Your Feet! | Playbill

Video Go Backstage with Andréa Burns for Her Final Performance at On Your Feet! Watch the original Gloria Fajardo say farewell to On Your Feet!—plus messages to her from the cast!

Drama Desk winner Andréa Burns has spent the last year and four months on the Marquis Theatre stage as Gloria Fajardo, Gloria Estefan’s mother, in the bio-musical about the Latin Queen of Pop. Burns has been tearing up the floor with Tony-nominated choreographer Sergio Trujillo’s moves in her Havana-set solo number, “Mi Tierra”—not to mention, her soaring duet “If I Never Got to Tell You.” Burns portrayed with grace a strong-headed but loving mother to Ana Villafañe’s thriving star.

Upon her final performance February 5, 2017, Burns’ son, Hudson Flynn, spent the day giving Playbill a behind-the-scenes look at the celebration and words of love from castmates Villafañe, Carlos E. Gonzalez, Henry Gainza, and her dresser Katrina Newman, plus a peek at her final bow.

Burns will perform aboard Playbill Travel's Rhine River cruise in August 2017. The luxury cruise—complete with performances by top Broadway talent like Burns—tours the stunning and culture-filled cities of Basel, Cologne, Amsterdam, and more. For those who can't wait until summer, Broadway on the High Seas 8 departs on a Caribbean adventure set for February 2017, and recently welcomed two-time Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell.
