Kent Gash stages the popular comedy that will officially open Jan. 18 for a run through Jan. 29. The Alliance bills the production as the first all-African American staging of the play.

Guy (Chicago, Fool for Love, "A Different World") plays Veronica Novak, with Smith (Antony and Cleopatra, The Piano Lesson) as Michael Novak, Fox (every tongue confess, Fences) as Annette Raleigh and Geoffrey Darnell Williams ("Black and "Blue") as Alan Raleigh.

God of Carnage centers around two sets of parents who attempt to settle a playground dispute between their sons, but all manners go out the window.

The play earned both the Tony and Olivier Awards. A film, adapted by Reza and director Roman Polanski, was recently released in select cities.
