PlayBlog Godspell Broadway Revival Billboard Goes Up in Times Square (Video) Godspell, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, is coming back to Broadway with its first revival, beginning performances Oct. 13 at the Circle in the Square Theatre, prior to an official opening Nov. 7.


Times Square recently got a makeover complete with a brand-new Godspell billboard to promote the upcoming production.

Godspell's Tony-nominated score features "Day by Day," "Turn Back, O Man," "Learn Your Lessons Well, "Prepare Ye the Way," "Light of the World" and many more.

The Broadway revival will reunite Daniel Goldstein—making his Broadway directorial debut—and the designers of the critically acclaimed 2006 Paper Mill Playhouse mounting in a new production that has been completely re-imagined for the Circle in the Square.
