News Godspell Will Offer Special Performance to Benefit Actors Fund The first Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell will offer a special performance next month to benefit the Actors Fund.

The Jan. 25, 2012, at 8 PM performance at the Circle in the Square Theatre will benefit the nonprofit organization. The 2011 revival cast features Hunter Parrish (Spring Awakening, "Weeds") as Jesus, Wallace Smith (American Idiot) as Judas, as well as Lindsay Mendez (Everyday Rapture, Grease), Telly Leung (Rent, "Glee"), Uzo Aduba (Coram Boy), Nick Blaemire (Cry-Baby), Celisse Henderson ("The Electric Company," In Transit), Morgan James (Wonderland, The Addams Family), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle ("Hannah Montana," "Fame") and George Salazar (Spring Awakening national tour).

The Actors Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
